Synopsis

Unjustly imprisoned for seven years, Joe Jenkins is determined to lead an honest life upon his release, although his friend Tom Vaughn, known as "The Weasel," tries to change his mind. When he cannot find work, Joe tries to rob wealthy artist Wheeler Masters, who takes Joe in, discovers his artistic ability and encourages him. Joe becomes a famous artist and falls in love with Mrs. Masters' sister Helen, but The Weasel robs Masters and forces Joe to take the blame by threatening to reveal Mrs. Masters as The Weasel's former sweetheart. Joe's chances for happiness with Helen seem unlikely until he prevents The Weasel from kidnapping the Masters' child and is exonerated.
