Synopsis
"Miss Rich has been unjustly accused and driven from home by a jealous husband. She sinks to the depths and finally winds up as 'Shanghai Rose' in a low dive in San Francisco. Reformers demand the district attorney (husband of Rose) close the joint. The D. A. sends his son, a deputy, to investigate. Rose recognizes her son, as does Kahn, the gang leader, who threatens to reveal Rose's true identity to her son. A police raid follows--Rose, fearing Kahn's threatened exposure, shoots the gangster, and goes on trial for murder. Then the story goes into the court room. ...
