Synopsis

After rescuing "Shivering Sam," an old derelict, from a Hong Kong dive, Capt. Dick Carson, a gentleman adventurer, sets sail for the California coast to avoid port authorities who are seeking him for breaking trading and maritime regulations. There, at the residence of Dr. Jordan, he finds Jordan's wife, Dorothy, in the arms of her husband's assistant, Ralph Dean; and wounded by the Coast Guard, Carson seeks refuge with the doctor. Dean attempts to persuade Dorothy to elope but is intercepted by Dr. Jordan; in the struggle, Jordan is killed. To avoid false incrimination, Carson takes both Dean and Dorothy aboard his yacht as prisoners. Although Carson believes her to be an unfaithful woman, he later discovers that Dean is the responsible scoundrel. In a showdown, Carson wins the girl.
