Synopsis

Arnold Treadway, son of a railroad magnate, promises to end his idle leisure. At a cafe he meets Carla Gordon, whose father owns the Gordon Iron Works, and Niles McCray, business adviser to the firm. When Arnold and McCray become embroiled in a dispute over a champagne bottle, Carla leaves, forgetting an expensive vanity case, which then is taken by another girl in the party. Carla's father has a heart attack, and she determines to operate the business herself. Arnold, who has been disinherited, is arrested for stealing the vanity, but Carla puts him to work. He saves her by obtaining his father's signature to a contract, which she had sought in vain to execute, thus winning the hand of his employer.
