Synopsis
Bachelor Steve Porter, who is the center of a hectic night life, is fascinated by the silhouette of a girl across the courtyard. His guardian-trustee, Uncle Howard, hearing of Steve's parties, refuses to give him more money until he is married. Steve's friend, Maurice, a theatrical producer, proposes that they hire a girl to pose as Porter's wife, and Sally Lane is signed to play this part. The three men soon discover Sally's delightful personality, and Steve's interest grows stronger; Uncle Howard's suspicions are aroused, however, and he moves in with them. Sally soon grows tired of the charade and does not believe Steve's pleas of love. Howard, infuriated by the situation, goes for a policeman, but Steve, realizing Sally is the same girl he has seen in the window, convinces her of his love.
