Synopsis

After a daredevil demonstration of aviator stunts, Anthony Fortescue-Stirling, more familiarly known as Tony, is cast adrift by his father. He meets Chrissie, of vaudeville fame, at a fancy-dress ball and falls in love with her. Teddy Sherwood, his best friend, is also taken with her, but she marries Tony. After Tony is cited for service in the war, his father gives him the deed to "Paradise," a South Sea island. Teddy offers to provide transportation, intending to eliminate his rival en route, but fails in that intention. On the island, caretaker Bill Quex--determined to keep the property for himself--provokes the resentment of Tony and his bride by his punishment of the natives; and in a final showdown, he is knocked out by Tony, while the natives take out their vengeance on him. Teddy confesses his actions, sends the crew to rescue the husband and wife, and commits suicide, leaving Tony and Chrissie to their happiness.
