Synopsis

Hurricane Haley, a sealing captain, drugged and robbed in a waterfront cafe, determines to revenge himself on Polly, his companion. Haley shanghaies Polly aboard his ship, and in a fight over Polly with his mate, Brady, one of Haley's arms is broken; Brady incites the crew to mutiny, but Haley beats him and is himself saved by a collision with a steamer. Haley forces Polly to return to San Francisco and sometime later inquires after her in a Chinese dive. When he upbraids her, she replies by returning to him the sum stolen from him earlier; strained by the confrontation, she faints. Overcome by her gesture, Haley rescues her from the dive, and they are happily united aboard his ship.
