Film Details
Synopsis
Dr. Holmes meets an old college friend, Albert Darnton, and invites him home for dinner, introducing him to his wife, Marie. Holmes is soon called out to visit a sick patient, and Darnton, who knew her when she was a cabaret singer in Chicago, frightens Marie, who rushes to her room, followed closely by Darnton. Holmes returns home, finds Darnton in his bedroom, and throws him out. Disillusioned, Holmes then leaves his wife and seeks solace in nature, living on the ranch of Egan, who, Holmes later learns, is rustling cattle. Marie becomes sick, and Mary Galbraith rides out to get Holmes, the only doctor within 40 miles. Holmes returns to Marie and is reconciled with her. Holmes tells the sheriff of Egan's secret life of crime, Egan is arrested, and Holmes whips Darnton in a fight.
