Synopsis

Lord Woodstock loses money in a musical revue that starred dancer Olive Carteret. He will be ruined unless his horse, Lady Luck, runs in the Derby, and he cannot afford to run the horse unless his protégé, Joe Lee, wins a forthcoming fight. He incurs Olive's enmity by falling in love with Norah Cavanaugh, daughter of his horsetrainer. Olive conspires with Phillips, a gambler, to drug Lee, but Woodstock takes his place in the ring and wins the fight. Lee overhears Olive and Phillips plot to kidnap Norah and thus force Woodstock to withdraw Lady Luck from the Derby. He kills Olive but is too late to prevent Phillips from abducting Norah. Lee and Woodstock are imprisoned when they attempt to rescue Norah. Lee is killed, but Woodstock escapes, Lady Luck wins the race, Phillips is arrested for murder, and Norah and Woodstock are free to marry.
