Synopsis

"Side Show" Saunders gains the respect of shopowner Holly Farrell and the townsfolk when he gives up entertaining with his trick horse and dog and goes to work in the general store. Burke Tanner, who has Holly's promise to marry him, schemes to steal funds from the Queen Mine, informs Holly that Saunders is "wanted," and then lures him, by means of a forged note, to a deserted hut. One of Tanner's men discovers a rich vein in the supposedly worthless Farrell mine; and Tanner, abandoning his robbery plans, sets out to marry Holly. Saunders' horse and dog loosen a boulder that crashes into the hut, freeing him; and pursued by the townsmen, he arrives to stop the wedding and produce his credentials as a detective.
