Synopsis
Robert Lanning, a proper Bostonian who owns an estate in New Mexico near the Mexican border, suspects that one of his employees is smuggling arms into Mexico and therefore sends his son and namesake, Robert, to investigate. On the way, Robert meets Mary Hamilton, a stranded actress from a roadshow company of Uncle Tom's Cabin; Mary, who played Little Eva in the production, is still dressed in her costume, and he mistakes her for a child and takes her with him to the ranch. Robert finally uncovers the smugglers and, with the help of the Mexican Rurales, brings the gang to justice. Robert then discovers that Mary is not a child and wins her for his wife.
