Synopsis

Ranger, a police dog belonging to Henry Jordan, is accused of attacking his owner, who has been rendered speechless. Ranger takes refuge with Bill Brady, a lonely telegraph operator at Swift Bend, and helps ward off two hoboes who try to steal the payroll. Helen Meadows, Bill's sweetheart, discovers the dog's identity, but Bill refuses to surrender him. Brady and Ranger rescue Helen from the hoboes, who dynamite a nearby bridge, and Ranger succeeds in stopping the train at the crucial moment. Cleared by a statement from Jordan, Ranger is given to Helen and Bill as a wedding present.
