Synopsis
Ted Bromley devotes his considerable energies to perfecting a radical valve design for automobile engines. Taking his car for a test drive, Ted meets Alice Carey, whose mother owns property in which Ted's father is highly interested. Julien Riccardo, the husband of the elder Bromley's secretary, plots to marry Alice, thereby obtaining possession of her property and selling it at a great profit to Ted's father. Ted learns of the scheme and prevents the marriage. Ted later gets a large check for his invention and uses it to pay off the mortgage on the Carey property, winning Alice's permanent gratitude and love.
