Synopsis
Bill Sanford, a young daredevil, frequently races his speedster on country roads, his happiness dampened only by cops, courts, and crashes. After an argument with his father, Bill leaves home with $5 for a stake and begins sleeping in haystacks. He discovers that there is a race with a prize of $5,000 and hocks his car to put up the entrance fee. Allan Lawton, a mortgage broker who is about to foreclose on the property of Charles Hampton, the father of Bill's girl, abducts Bill before the race. Bill escapes from the freight car where he is tied up and gets to the track in time to drive his car to victory. He pays off the Hampton mortgage and exposes Lawton's perfidy.
