Synopsis
Eddie, a conscientious if blundering mail carrier, is in love with Madge, a waitress, who is equally admired by Officer Flannigan and Harrigan, a fireman. The persistent efforts of Harold Jones, a promoter, to win Madge as his secretary unite the three rivals against Jones. They toss a coin to determine who will escort Madge to the postal ball, and Eddie wins; meanwhile, two detectives, undergoing tests to qualify them as postal inspectors, concentrate on Eddie. Madge accepts Jones's offer when the cafe owner tries to force his attentions on her. At the ball, Eddie, who does not dance, leaves Madge to his rivals, but during a black bottom contest, a piece of ice falls into his collar; and his wild gyrations win him the prize cup. Eddie is disillusioned to learn that Madge is engaged to Jones, but in delivering a package to the Jones home, he discovers that Jones is a swindler and with the aid of the detectives rushes to save Madge. ...
