Synopsis

Jerry Thornton, a wealthy young fellow with a mania for fast cars, is shown the door by Sheila Van Hauten, his timid fiancée, when he insists on racing against professional drivers in the Speed Classic. Brokenhearted, Jerry goes on a binge, ending up in Tijuana, Mexico, where, through the machinations of a rival driver, he is thrown into jail. Sheila learns of his incarceration and, relenting of her former hardheartedness, sends Jerry's mechanic, Jonah, to Mexico to bail out her sometime sweetheart. Jerry and Jonah make it back to the States in time for Jerry to enter the Speed Classic; Jerry wins and, after taking care of the driver who framed him in Mexico, is reunited with Sheila.
