Synopsis
Ex-cowboy Ned Williams, now a deputy sheriff feared by outlaws, captures a pair of men who are tampering with their neighbors' cattle and thus incurs the wrath of Bud Spaugh, their leader. Ned is ordered to arrest a cattle thief in the area: the "rustler" turns out to be a forlorn little girl who steals to keep her brothers and sisters from starving, and Ned becomes attached to her. Spaugh frames Ned with a holdup, then kidnaps the girl. Ned escapes, rescues the girl, and in a struggle in the lava pits succeeds in making a prisoner of Spaugh.
