Synopsis

Lem Gallagher returns west after a 5-year period of European cultivation and finds that his sweetheart, Betty Martin, spurns his sophistication; she dares him to ride an outlaw horse, and he refuses, thus earning the reputation of a mollycoddle. Tex Lucas, a hotel owner, attacks and kills Jed Wilson for admiring Betty; Lem, who witnesses the shooting, is suspected of the killing. Lem tames the outlaw horse and rides him to the scene of the murder, where he finds an empty shell from a peculiar gun. Evading Tex's henchmen, he goes to the villain's hideout; Tex escapes and forces Betty to cross the border with him. Lem overcomes his captors, pursues and overcomes Tex, and regains the admiration of Betty.
