Synopsis

John Shefford discovers from a settler that his missing uncle, Lassiter, has trapped himself and a young woman in Paradise Valley by hurling a boulder from a cliff into the only means of egress from the valley. The way toward Paradise Valley lies through a rough frontier settlement, and John joins a wagon train to avoid arousing suspicion. Once in town, he rescues Fay Larkin, the adopted daughter of the woman trapped with his uncle, just as Fay is about to be forced into marriage with Willets, the leader of the outlaw gang that chased his uncle into the valley. John goes to the valley with Fay and rescues his uncle and Fay's guardian. Shadd kidnaps Fay, and John rescues her, killing Shadd.
