Synopsis

On an ocean liner bound for Persia, Prince Ahmed is attracted to Lady Alicia, the English wife of Lord Douglas, because she wears a ring that is a duplicate of his own, presented to her father by the father of the prince. Returning to his palace, the prince is confronted by Alizar, a dancing girl who is a double for his love, but he is unable to feel a similar affection for her. Meanwhile, Lord Douglas and Lady Alicia visit Persia; his lordship enters the women's quarters of the palace and is discovered struggling with Alizar, but he flees in time to save his life, while the girl kills herself. Lord Douglas is later captured, and while his wife pleads for his life, he is slain by the mother of Alizar.
