Synopsis

Three couples set out on a weekend yachting party that ends tragically with the drowning of newlywed Bill Hypes. As his body is returned to the yacht, the others think back over the events of the weekend. Bill's widow, Janet, recalls their argument over the charms of Layne, a shapely member of the boating party. ... Bill and Janet exchange accusations of infidelity. Layne, a nymphomaniac and the secretary of Glenn Lawrence, is posing as Glenn's wife in order to complete a business scheme. Layne tempts the two crewmen, next turns her attentions to Bill, and finally joins the black crewman in the engine room. Pete Lindsay, an alcoholic, taunts his wife, Dorothy, for being a lesbian. Janet, after discovering Bill with Layne, joins Dorothy in lesbian lovemaking. Bill learns that Glenn is smuggling heroin, and in a scuffle with Glenn he is thrown overboard. Christina, the captain's daughter and a witness to the murder, forces Glenn to include her in the heroin deal. Pete learns of the murder and radios the Coast Guard. Glenn tries to escape but is killed by the black crewman, whose sister was a victim of Glenn's drug dealing.
