Synopsis

During the war, Bob Howard and his buddy, Gunner, are patients in a temporary hospital located in the kingdom of Spezonia. Bob and the Princess Elena fall in love, but at the Armistice he is forced to return to the States. Later, when he sets out to find her, he encounters on his steamer Count Tanza and Baron Ertig, Spezonian diplomats. They are returning to Spezonia with the long-lost crown prince, who--upon learning of the death of his ancestors at their coronations--tries to escape from the diplomatic delegation. Bob and his buddy, with whom he is reunited, aid Prince Otto V in subduing the diplomats, and, disguised as the prince's bodyguards, they enter Spezonia. During the coronation, Otto, attempting to escape from anarchists, allows Bob to take his place, and Bob in this impersonation is married to the princess. The inebriated Otto leads a march against the imposter; Bob and Gunner fight off the mob and escape with the princess to America.
