Synopsis

When William Vandervoort Cosgrove, a Yale student and the son of a rich pork packer, marries vaudeville actress Madame de Montignon, the daughter of a Chicago plumber, his parents disown him. Having earned fame for his performances on the Yale baseball team, Bill is offered a job by John J. McGraw, the manager of the New York Giants. Both fathers are in attendance on the day of the big game, and old man Cosgrove, always a baseball fan, puts aside his objections to Bill's marriage to sit in the front row and cheer the Giants. Bill wins the game with a home run, and in their jubilation, all is forgiven and forgotten between the family of the pork packer and the family of the plumber.
