Synopsis
During a protracted drought, Larry Day and his riders from the Bar None find and rescue Professor Parkinson, an alleged rainmaker. Ralph Curtis, the ranchowner, is being sought by Ezra Kramer, who owns the only water-bearing ranch and wants to buy out Curtis and at the same time marry his son to Joan Curtis. Curtis is forced to discharge all his men except Larry, who remains because of his affection for Joan. Kramer gets a message that rain is due in another day, and he and Parkinson plan to benefit by cashing in on the rain-machine or by bringing the ranchers to terms. Larry learns of the plot and is held captive in Kramer's cabin; rescued in time by his men, he exposes the swindle, and the promised rain begins to fall.
