Synopsis
When Jimmy Knight undertakes to operate a drugstore left him by his father, he finds the store's methods old-fashioned, and a syndicate, headed by Silas Rogers, offers to buy him out. But in order to impress Miriam, Rogers' daughter, he determines to become a success by selling a cure-all patented medicine of his father's invention, and he begins by making several extraordinary cures. The syndicate members obtain a restraining warrant from pure food and drug inspectors, and Jimmy is tried; but when the judge has a sudden attack of gastritis the medicine relieves him and Jimmy is declared innocent. Afterwards, Jimmy is elected mayor and wins Miriam.
