Synopsis

After David Stires makes out his will to disinherit his dissolute son Hugh, Jessica Holmes, a blind girl who, as Stires's ward, is to be the sole heir, protests to minister Satan Sanderson about Stires's unfairness to his son. Sanderson tells Stires that in his college days he was the leader of a group of wayward youths, which included Hugh, and that since Hugh looked up to him, he feels responsible for Hugh's downfall. When Stires refuses to reconsider, Jessica, whose sympathy for Hugh turns romantic, blames Sanderson, while Sanderson falls in love with Jessica. Later, Stires forgives Hugh, who then plans to marry Jessica, whose eyesight has been restored by an operation. During the wedding ceremony, Stires is presented with a check forged by Hugh. After Stires threatens him with jail, Hugh runs away and seeks Sanderson's help. [Information regarding the film's ending was not located.]
