Synopsis
Young lawyer John Vickery is in love with his wife, but he thinks she is in love with another man. He purposely sets up evidence against himself, and she, finding another woman in her apartment, divorces him. He drifts into the night life of the underworld, becoming a desperate alcoholic, and is rescued by Flo, a dancehall girl whom he once befriended. He becomes a lawyer for the underworld and earns the enmity of some hardcore criminals who try to kill him. Flo falls in love with Vickery, but, realizing that she is not the woman for him, she sends for his ex-wife, Ruth. Ruth and Vickery are then reconciled.
