Synopsis

Brandon P. Hyde, a crooked promoter, salts a mine with gold and then sells it to prospector Pyrites Kincaid. Discovering that his mine is worthless, Kincaid dies of disappointment, and his daughter Marjorie, who was to marry Hyde's son Wallace, breaks off her engagement to the young doctor because of his father's duplicity. When Wallace arrives in the mining town to become chief surgeon at its hospital, Sinful John and Snowshoe Dan, two old miners who worship Marjorie, decide that the situation must be rectified. They salt a worthless mine, sell it to Hyde Sr., and then turn over the proceeds to Marjorie, assuring her that Wallace knew nothing of the deal that killed her father. Marjorie then forgives Wallace, and the lovers reunite.
