Synopsis

Elsie Peyton is ardently admired by Bruce Farney, whom she and her father favor, and Bob Howard, her mother's preference. The domineering Mrs. Peyton sees to it that Bruce, who is on the football team, is discouraged from taking Elsie to the game. Bruce stops in a barbershop and is subjected to the flirtations of Minette, the manicurist, who wants to make Ed, the barber, jealous. Bruce is disillusioned to see Elsie with Howard at the game and follows them in his car; Mrs. Peyton calls Minette to the house for a manicure. When Bruce arrives, he is ordered out, but the house is placed under a 2-week quarantine for smallpox. Hilarious complications ensue as Bruce is obliged to room with his rival, but by a clever trick Bruce marries Elsie in spite of the quarantine, which proves to have been unnecessary.
