Synopsis

After a bank is held up, Rose Lore returns to the bank officers a satchel she has found which she believes contains the loot. When the satchel is opened, it contains only washers, and Rose is convicted of complicity in the holdup. Released on parole, Rose is followed by detectives who expect her to lead them to the missing money. Dapper Crawford, who engineered the heist, also believes that she has hidden the money and arranges for another of the thieves, Charles White, to impersonate Rose's long-lost brother. Charles finds no trace of the loot but falls in love with Rose and decides to go straight. Dapper attempts to use force on Rose to get her to talk, and Charles comes to her rescue. While Charles and Dapper are fighting, the police raid the thieves' den, and Dapper is inadvertently shot by one of his own men. Before he dies, Dapper clears Rose of all guilt in the robbery. One of the officers of the bank is discovered to be the thief. Charles and Rose are married, and Charles becomes a traffic cop.
