Synopsis

Cuban authorities, having difficulties preventing revolutionaries from smuggling guns, appoint Carlos De Neve, a man known for his honesty, to captain the coast guard. Since Carlos will not accept bribes, Ramón Sánchez, one of the rebels, asks his beautiful friend, Mercedes, to utilize her charms and keep the captain occupied on the night of a prospective haul. She does her duty, but in the process she and the captain fall in love. The revolutionaries are caught, and the general promises to punish Carlos severly until Mercedes arrives and pleads for his freedom. The general relents on the condition that Mercedes join his forces, and the two are exiled for the duration of their honeymoon.
