Synopsis

The partner of motorcycle cop Tom Burke is killed by a speeding gangster, Jack Blake, but the case is dropped because of corruption in the police department. When Tom protests, he is assigned a beat in the country. Doris Dane, who was in Jack's car but was unaware of his criminal activities, tries to confess to Tom, but he refuses to talk with her, so she confesses to the police chief, who asks her father, Judge Dane, to keep her quiet. Tom finally hears Doris's story and, after confronting the corrupt police chief, turns in his badge. Tom's earnest fight for justice enlightens the police chief, who is tired of being a pawn of powerful criminals, and gets the assistance of Judge Dane to clean up their force of its corrupt elements. A raid is planned on Jack's gambling establishment, which is run by Trixi DuBray. Jack kidnaps Doris and tries to rob Trixi's safe, but Trixi struggles with him and is shot. Meanwhile, the police have broken in and Tom comes to Doris' rescue in a fight against Jack, who falls off the roof of the building. Peace is restored to Tom and his family, and he is finally able to pursue a romance with Doris.
