Synopsis
Phyllis Tomley, a romance-stricken woman, is married to the prosaic Hector, who fears the memory of Wales, a former rival who has supposedly died while exploring in South America. Wales returns and impresses Phyllis with wondrous stories of his adventures; Hector, however, informs her that his "death" was a publicity hoax to promote his new novel; and Wales accuses Hector of robbing him of Phyllis. When she is about to begin divorce proceedings in Reno, Hector is inspired by an Indian chief's unruly treatment of his squaw to kidnap both Phyllis and Wales, taking them to a mountain cabin. Frantic with hunger, Phyllis visits Hector's cabin, insults him, and is promptly spanked. While Wales escapes and goes for help, Hector rescues Phyllis from a Mexican herder and is consequently reconciled to her.
