Synopsis
Bill Murray, induced by a sharper to pay the mortgage on a western hotel he has inherited, finds the structure fallen into ruin. Muldoon's Merry Maids theatrical troupe is stranded when the theater burns, and they are offered a job in the local dancehall. Bill rescues them from a bully and offers the use of his hotel. They put the hotel in order and incidentally discover that Bill is half owner in a mining claim grubstaked by one George Cole. The present owners, Steve and Tess, are being forced to sell out to Blackie and Joe when Bill arrives; and in the struggle, the partnership paper is destroyed. Blackie convinces the sheriff that Bill has killed Texas, but Bill proves his innocence and establishes his partnership in the mine.
