Synopsis

Italian potter Tony adopts an Italian waif, little Tony, and takes him from New York to the West to realize a long-held dream of owning a ranch. Once settled in the Western town, Tony manages to make an enemy of Durant, the town's chief gambler, by refusing to drink whiskey and by freely admiring Durant's girlfriend Kate Billings. A year later Tony is well-adapted as a cowboy. While he is away from home one day, Durant shoots at a shadow in the window that he believes is Tony's, but actually belongs to Little Tony, who is stunned but only slightly injured. Tony gets revenge and also manages to rescue Kate, who has eloped with Durant. After learning that Carlotta, his intended wife back East, has married one of his rivals, Tony wins Kate's love and they marry.
