Synopsis

When Doug Kent arrives for a birthday reception with his friends at the Cat's Paw Cafe nightclub, one of the dancers, Teddy Blane, tries to involve him with a group of smugglers headed by Clyde Faber. At the same time, one of the flying border patrol guards is shot down in an aerial dogfight with two members of the Faber gang, Chet Morley and Romero. The latter is also killed in the crossfire, and Morley dumps Romero's body out of the plane in midair. Hearing of the combat, the pilots at Doug's party take to their planes, unaware that Morley has already landed safely. Doug's brother John, head of the border patrol, spots Romero's body from the air. Romero was carrying an autographed photograph of Teddy, and she becomes defensive when John confronts her with the evidence. John's attempt to steer Doug away from Teddy results in a fistfight that quickly involves the entire Cat's Paw. Doug believes that he has accidentally killed Joe, one of the Faber gang, during the fracas and, to conceal the crime, agrees to join their smuggling operation. John intercepts them, however, and Doug miraculously rescues his brother in midair when Morley drops him from his plane. The pair now join forces to pursue Morley, and they finally shoot him down. Back at the Cat's Paw, Faber, Teddy and their gang are arrested, while Doug goes on to marry the club's receptionist, Marion.
