Synopsis

Ramona, a convent-bred girl on the way to visit her father, is captured by pirates when her ship is raided and carried off by Firebrand, the chief, to his island encampment. Here, John Barton, a young soldier of fortune, finds her and tries to rescue her during the pirate's absence, but when he goes to search for the buried treasure which will enable them to leave the island, Firebrand returns and is slain by Ramona. In revenge, his brother buccaneers drag the girl to the public auction where Anna, a former sweetheart of the dead chief, intends to buy her and torture her as a slave. Just before the final bid is made, John gallops up with the gold he has found, outbids the treacherous woman and claims the delighted Ramona as his bride.
