Synopsis

William Skinner, having attained a junior partnership in the firm of McLaughlin and Perkins, aspires to higher things. Convinced that by working for himself he can become the Napoleon of the industrial world, Skinner resigns and sets up his own business. Because he did not realize that the prestige of the old established firm that he left had been largely responsible for his past success, he finds himself on the verge of bankruptcy. Skinner bluffs to his wife Honey that he is making money so fast that he cannot count it, and she confides in Mrs. McLaughlin, who in turn tells her husband. Deciding that they have made a tremendous mistake by letting Skinner go, McLaughlin and Perkins make him a staggeringly lucrative offer to rejoin the firm and Skinner averts bankruptcy.
