Synopsis
A satchel--purportedly full of money--is hurriedly passed on by one crook to another. Actually, it contains a baby girl. The "owner" rears the girl as his own daughter in the tenement world of New York's East Side, where years later she is innocently involved in a murder. About to be found guilty, she is recognized as the district attorney's daughter. A flashback explains how the girl's mother left her husband, hiding the baby in a bag, which was accidentally substituted by a crook for a bag full of money. Justice and a family reunion ensue.
