Synopsis

A prospector leaves his mine to three people, unknown to one another, who have befriended him. Murdock, determined to possess the mine at any cost, orders his men to keep the others from the mine. Edna Jordan is advised by her lawyer to take immediate possession on the premise that the final owner will have to meet certain conditions. Barden, a cowpuncher and the third beneficiary, protects Edna from Murdock's henchmen and takes a job at the mine. Murdock turns the girl against him, but at a fiesta Barden exposes Murdock in a duel; the latter proposes marriage to Edna and captures Barden and his pal. Barden withdraws in the girl's favor and wins the claim, since he has fulfilled the condition of generosity; but he and Edna race to the claim office and record the mine in both their names.
