Synopsis

On a visit to the Spanish countryside, Pedro Romero, a great matador, meets Dolores, who makes him promise to help Gallito, her childhood sweetheart, who wants nothing more than to fight bulls. When Dolores and Gallito go to Seville, however, Pedro forgets his promise, but Arturo Cavallo, the president of the arena, becomes infatuated with Dolores and gives Gallito a chance to fight. At the bullfight, Pedro's concentration is broken when he sees Ardita, a beautiful dancer whom he loves, sitting with another man, and the bull gores him. Gallito is a great success in his first fight, and the fickle Ardita later lures him into her carriage. Dolores returns home and finds Cavallo, who tries to win her favor by taking her to Ardita's apartment and proving Gallito's infidelity. Dolores becomes a dancer, and Gallito, who has been led to believe that she is Cavallo's mistress, gives him a sound thrashing. Cavallo plots to drug Gallito's wine before a fight, and Dolores, who has overheard the plan, saves his life in the ring as he is about to be fatally gored.
