Synopsis

Unsuccessful miners Jim McKee and Buck Holden disguise themselves as bandits and hold up a stagecoach to provide money for the support of Buck's motherless daughter, Mary. The sheriff kills Buck while McKee escapes with Mary. Fifteen years later McKee dons the bandit's costume again and robs a motor coach to provide new frocks for the 17-year-old Mary, who is ashamed of her old-fashioned clothes. The theft is traced through the serial numbers on the stolen bills, and McKee is caught and sent to jail. On his release from prison, McKee returns to the hills; and there Mary, realizing she loves him, goes to find him.
