Synopsis

John Miller, a student at Harmon College, suffers from an inferiority complex, and though a prize scholar he longs to belong to the track team or a social fraternity. In his letters to Julia, a student at Beldon College, however, he boasts of his athletic prowess, incurring the jealousy of Welch, his rival. Inspired by Julia, John goes out for the track team and runs against Welch in a relay race. Deciding that he must be inferior to Welch, John loses the race; but Margie, who has taken a liking to him, convinces John that he should win. In the final relay he wins the meet and the acclaim of his fellow classmates, as well as the love of Margie.
