Synopsis
Michael O'Day and his 8-year-old granddaughter, Patsy, adopt a deserted baby, who is left in the little girl's care when the old man is injured and sent to the hospital. The girl's efforts to keep the baby out of the hands of a hard-boiled landlady and the orphanage constitute the remaining action.
