Synopsis

Bianca Sylva, a lace maker in Corsica, is sent to Paris by sculptor Antonio Manatelli, who is impressed by her talent for modeling in clay. There she meets Etienne Du Inette, the head of the International, a powerful secret service organization, and the two are instantly attracted to each other. Soon after, Etienne is warned to go to Corsica to watch Jules Lavinne, a traitor. After Bianca achieves success in Paris, she is called home only to find her sister dying. Because she discovers a note, signed by Pierre Renard, which lured her sister to her attempted suicide, Bianca vows to pursue Renard "to the death." She returns to Paris where she meets Lavinne, whom she instinctively dislikes, but, learning that he is a member of the International, she appeals to him for help in locating Renard. Lavinne promises to find the man in return for her hand in marriage. Bianca agrees and Lavinne produces a picture of Etienne, who he claims is Renard. After stabbing Etienne, Bianca leaves with Lavinne, who is intercepted and arrested for treason, having operated under the name of Pierre Renard. Bianca rushes back to Etienne and is overjoyed to find that he will recover.
