Synopsis
The ranch of Elias Barnet is bequeathed to his granddaughter, Lucille Rogers, and Dave Collins on the condition that they marry. Dave arrives at the ranch with his pal, Spuds, an orphan, and finds Ray Foster, a nephew of Barnet's attorney, posing as Dave Collins. Lucille, however, falls in love with Dave, and Foster hires Bart Haywood to kill Dave; by accident Foster is wounded and Dave is tied to a handcar in the path of an approaching train; but Spuds and his dog, Sitting Bull, save him from collision. Meanwhile, Daggett tells Lucille that Foster is mortally wounded and induces her to agree to marry him so as to inherit the ranch, but Dave arrives in time to prevent the wedding. Elias, to everyone's surprise, appears--still alive--gives rout to Daggett and Foster, and presents the ranch to Dave and Lucille.
