Synopsis
Princess Petrovitch accepts a bribe to betray her husband and put him into the hands of political enemies, who send him to certain death in Siberia. She then elopes to Monte Carlo with her lover, but when he loses all his money playing roulette, she poisons him and sails for America. On shipboard, the princess arouses the interest of young Edwin Harris, a rich man's son. After they land in New York, the princess demands money and jewels from Edwin, driving him to commit a robbery which results in the death of his father. The princess then begins working on her next victim, Edwin's older brother Mark, but her reign is terminated when one of her victims exacts his own justice by piercing her heart with a dagger.
