Synopsis

Don Davis, a United States Secret Service agent, is detailed to follow a gang of opium smugglers. Disguised as a gangster, he visits the Green Dragon Cafe, where he learns from Rita, a dancer, that "Red" Grimley is expecting Morris, with whom he has some nefarious business. Morris arrives and makes arrangements to purchase an opium shipment. At the same time, Morris' daughter, Ruth, is saved by Don from a gangster who requests a dance, and Don is consequently hired as bouncer. At the Morris home, Don improves his relationship with Ruth; then, uncovering the details of Morris' transaction, he finds the cache of opium at the cafe and overhears the gang's plans. Don is overcome by the crooks, and, accusing Morris of a doublecross, they rob him and kidnap Ruth. After an automobile chase Don and several detectives capture the gang, Morris also is revealed to be a Secret Service man, and Ruth and Don are united.
