Synopsis
Following a fight, Art Flanders is forced to leave town and wanders into the desert, where he meets a dog and a horse. The three stick together, and just as they are about to die of thirst, they chance upon the house of Lorraine Estes. Lorraine takes care of the trio, and, out of gratitude and growing love, Art begins to do the manual labor necessary to keep her mine going. Jed Hawkins, who wants to gain possession of Lorraine's land, sends several of his men to dynamite the mine, but Art and Black Beauty run them off. Hawkins is punished, and Art marries Lorraine.
