Synopsis

Curt Simmons, a highwayman who steals shipments of money intended to finance the activities of Mexican revolutionaries, persuades Cheyenne Harry, a bored cowboy from the Savage ranch, to help him in his escapes. Harry bids farewell to his friend, Uncle Larkin, and while Larkin goes to meet Alice Norris, who is spending the summer on the Savage ranch, Harry joins Curt and his old cohort, Betoski. During a card game, Betoski insults Harry, who accidentally shoots him and then, in a state of intoxication, helps Curt to rob a coach bound for the Mexican border. Although the posse is in close pursuit, Harry rushes to the assistance of a runaway buggy when he realizes that its passengers are Alice and Uncle Larkin. Harry is arrested but later pardoned through the efforts of Mr. Savage, whose faith in his employee's goodness is still unshaken. Back at the ranch, Harry and Alice fall in love, but when she learns that he shot a man, she sadly sends for her former fiancé. Harry is shot in a fight with Curt, and Alice, on her way to the station, finds him unconscious and decides to remain with him.
